A branch of dentistry specializing in diagnosis prevention and treatment of dento-facial irregularities. The application and control of corrective appliances (braces) helps bring teeth, lips and jaws into proper alignment and achieves facial balance. This branch of dentistry works in close collaboration with the Consultant Maxillo-Facial Surgeon to correct skeletal deformities of the face through planned Orthognathic Surgery and examine, diagnose, and treat dental malocclusions and oral cavity anomalies. Design and fabricate appliances to realign teeth and jaws to produce and maintain normal function and to improve appearance.
